Diploma In Anesthesia And Critical Care Technology

Critically ill patients are often managed in an intensive care unit within a hospital with the help of sophisticated equipment and trained personnel. Frequent monitoring of vital parameters/signs, assisted ventilation and rapid resuscitation measures are required to be taken whenever life-threatening situations arise/occur.

The diploma in Anesthesia and Critical Care Technician program aims to train technicians into the field of anesthetics and critical care and it’s important in medical field. This program shall prepare the students with necessary skills and knowledge so as to assist Anesthesiologist during anesthetic procedures, incubation procedures, loading of anesthetics to patients, also assisting anesthesia related procedures outside the operation theatres (procedures such as CT, MRI, endoscopy, digital angiograms etc.). Focus would also be on skilling the students in dealing with patients in operation theatres including good communication, calmness and need for detailing so as to develop understanding of severely of situation and dosage.

Eligibility

• Programme Objective: To train students to work as Anesthesia and Critical Care Technicians and assist the Anesthetist in their duties.
• Course Duration: 2 Years
• Eligibility: 10+2 with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Maths and English).
